Our Story

Welcome to CanGOLF, where our journey began with a passion for golf, community, and the desire to create a year-round indoor entertainment destination for Canmore. We offer unbeatable food, breathtaking Rocky Mountain views, and non-stop fun.


Our vibrant sports bar features five state-of-the-art golf simulators, a chic lounge area, and a mouthwatering menu filled with delicious pub fare, local beers, spirits, and more.


Upstairs, enjoy panoramic mountain views and a patio. With meal deals, arcade and table games, and a welcoming atmosphere, it's a place for locals and visitors to gather, indulge in great food, and make lasting memories.

Founder Luke Elvy's journey to CanGOLF is a tale of golf and media. His career in broadcasting saw him cover over 40 major championships, including the prestigious Ryder Cup. Luke's voice became synonymous with golf, making him a respected figure in the industry. In 2018 after working the Ryder Cup, he became the VP of Media of aboutGOLF, an industry leading simulator company, sparking the idea for this new venture.


It was during this time that Luke recognized the potential of golf simulators to provide year-round golfing opportunities and decided to bring this experience to Canmore. His love for the sport and his desire to make golf accessible to everyone led to the creation of CanGOLF.


But Luke's vision extended beyond golf. He wanted CanGOLF to be a place where the community could come together, enjoy great food, and have fun without being limited by the weather. This aspiration set the stage for what CanGOLF would eventually become.

Dallas Suttie, an accomplished 20-year Executive Chef, brought his culinary expertise to CanGOLF. With experience in managing upscale restaurants and a passion for crafting delicious dishes, Dallas's culinary journey was the perfect complement to Luke's vision.


Dallas's culinary inspirations spanned the American landscape, influenced by his family road trips across the United States during his youth. He appreciated the hearty, flavourful, and wholesome nature of American cuisine and sought to infuse those elements into the menu at CanGOLF.


At the heart of Dallas's culinary philosophy is the commitment to making everything from scratch and using high-quality ingredients. From smoking meats to crafting unique sauces, the culinary team at CanGOLF ensures that each dish is a flavourful masterpiece.

To compliment the golf a great culinary experience was created. CanGOLF offers top-quality food & drinks. Our Executive Chef/GM, Dallas Suttie, brings over 20 years of culinary expertise, resulting in an award-winning menu and an unbeatable dining experience.

CanGOLF is more than just a venue; it's a community. Our spacious upstairs area, spanning over 5,000 square feet with a south-facing patio, is an ideal location for parties, events, and functions. From weddings to hockey tournaments, we can accommodate over 200 people, all while showcasing the stunning Canadian Rockies.
